Getting Here
Access to Kilchoan and Sonachan by car is via the picturesque B8007, which runs from Salen. To reach Salen from Fort William or Onich, take the Corran Ferry and then follow the A861 through Strontian. An alternative way of getting to Kilchoan is via the ferry from Tobermory on the Isle of Mull.
Most roads in Ardnamurchan are single track, with passing places. It will be appreciated by other drivers if you use these passing places when you encounter oncoming traffic, and to allow overtaking by faster vehicles. Livestock and wild animals, including red deer, wander freely on this road, so please take special care.
