We have a fully licensed Internet Café/Bistro so you don’t need to venture too far for everything you might need.

Sonachan is a small extended farm-house on a working farm, facing N/W out over a wee crofting community
to the North Atlantic Ocean, the Island of Canna and the Uists. 

 Sonachan Has been run by the MacPhail Family since 1963.  It can be a useful source of Local history
and information & a place to learn a few Gaelic words! Here we hope to offer you Highland hospitality
in an atmosphere of informality and cheerfulness.

We are not a  'City Hotel'  with all the services and amenities .  We get our food and drink deliveries once a week or twice a week in high season if we are lucky!  We are a small extended farmhouse which offers B&B, Localy sourced food  in season, served simply in our fully licesnsed cafe bar bistro. 
We are a local family who also farm , do school runs, and enjoy the simple , laid back life on the Croft.

Roam the hills and coastlines; follow the sheep track over the hill to the beautiful white sands of Sanna Bay,
do a bit of fly fishing on the wee lochs or some Sea fishing off the rocks.
